It is that time of year again.
Hispanic Heritage Month is right around the corner, and so is the In Her Element Foundation’s signature event,
the ¡Sí Se Puede! Annual Conference.
The In Her Element Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the social and economic empowerment of women through leadership development, civic engagement, and access to opportunities. We serve the underserved community by creating pathways to leadership that empower individuals in our region to fully step into their potential, both personally and professionally, and engage in their communities.

“Latinas in Action: A Call to Action.”
The program will feature dynamic local leaders from nonprofits, government, public safety, and elected office who embody service to the community and inspire others to follow in their path. Together, these voices will spark inspiration and action among hundreds of attendees, professionals, and community changemakers.

We are proud to announce award winning author and TEDx speaker Marcela Andrés as the Keynote Speaker for this year’s Annual ¡Sí Se Puede! Conference: Latinas en Acción - A Call to Serve.
Marcela’s journey, is rooted in her immigrant heritage, and connected to El Paso. Her mother immigrated from Zacatecas, Mexico and her father from Havana, Cuba, to El Paso, where they met and married.
Marcela Andrés is the President and CEO of designEDengagement, PBC, a Latina-owned education consulting firm, and author of Purposeful Educator Connections: Five Principles to Strengthen Relationships with Students.
With over a decade of experience in education, she specializes in fostering partnerships among families, educators, and communities to support student success. She has led transformative initiatives nationwide, designing culturally responsive programs and advancing family engagement practices that improve student outcomes. She holds a BBA in Finance from Saint Edward’s University and a Master’s in Education from Harvard.
Marcela’s influence has earned her recognition among Houston Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs, 100 Women to Know in America, Female Inc 500 Founders, and Enterprising Women of the Year.
She exemplifies the very essence of this year’s theme, Latinas in Action A Call to Serve, a leader who not only inspires change but drives action and service at the highest level.
